DT is a uniquely immersive subject where students experience the thrill of bringing their imagination to life. Through hands-on prototyping, we ensure every student finds joy in the process of discovery.

Enrichment Opportunities

Our Design and Technology department offers a vibrant enrichment program focused on STEM-based learning and industry collaboration. We maintain strong partnerships with Teentech and the V&A’s Innovate National Schools Challenge, where our students have had excellent success on the National stage, consistently reaching the finals. We provide diverse platforms for students to develop autonomy and creative excellence through dedicated lunch and after-school clubs including sewing, product design and cooking opportunities. The DT workshops are an inclusive environment where students are able to work with students from a range of year groups in a creative, calm and supportive space. Exploring design and technology beyond the classroom offers an invaluable real-world perspective. Recent trips have included visits to local craft workshops, The Design Museum, and studying large-scale engineering and themed environments at Disneyland Paris.
