    CASCA News

    Dear Parents,

Today CASCA is launching a hugely important and urgent fundraising campaign for CSG.

    20 for 2020

We are asking that CSG families pitch in to help address the impact of Covid on available CASCA funds in our 20 for 2020 campaign.

As a result of COVID and social distancing, the fundraising events normally hosted by CASCA in support of the school were cancelled during lockdown and are, largely, on hold for the 20/21 school year. The impact of this has resulted in a huge loss in our fundraising for CSG.

Quite simply we are looking at a loss of over £20K due to cancelled events.

CASCA remains committed to supporting the staff despite our lack of fundraising income from the cancelled event calendar.

With your support and a donation of £20 for every student, we aim to raise a minimum of £20k in the 20 days running up to half term in 2020.

This will enable the school to quickly tackle the new COVID ‘bubbled’ teaching challenges.

In this changing landscape, the strain on the school to maintain its standards of provision has never been higher. The new classroom set ups and restrictions have highlighted gaps in basic resources that would really help provide for students within the new ‘bubbling’ guidelines.

    Urgently needed resources include:

    • Outdoor seating and equipment to enable lessons in the open air where possible
    • Mobile computing units for use with individual bubble groups (Trolley and Chromebooks)
    • Art and DT materials for each bubble location across the school

We know in these challenging times that not everyone is in a position to donate £20.We ask that you donate what you can - everything counts. For those who are able, please consider ‘covering’ other households. (i.e. a donation for £100 would cover 5 households, would buy art materials for one class for a term, would cover 30% of the cost of a Chromebook).

If 2020 has highlighted anything, it’s that we must work as a community to make it through these complicated times. Your support, in any amount, makes a huge contribution to the school, and to our children’s daily learning experience

Grim days require good deeds to fill needs. Please contribute what you can via your parent pay account. Your kids and their teachers will thank you.

    With thanks,
    Irene, Sally, Serena and Richard
