This week: Summer Term Friday News
Welcome to the first edition of the Summer Term Friday News. You will see that it is full of work students have been doing at home as the lockdown continues. Thank you to all students, staff and parents who have sent photos, messages and pieces of writing - please keep them coming, it’s a great way to celebrate our students’ creativity and achievements. It also helps us to stay connected.
Teachers are now working on the GCSE and A level grades for the summer, in line with Ofqual requirements. They are also setting distance learning activities, and it’s important to keep the learning momentum going this term, even though we may all be getting a bit weary of being in front of a screen.
Our excellent main school Head Girl Team has sent a letter to you all in this edition, which I personally read with huge admiration. The Head Girl Team has shown excellent leadership skills throughout their time in office, acting as superb role models for younger students and running an amazing schedule of events. And now they have put their heads together (remotely!) to consider how they can carry on reaching out to younger students through the lockdown. We are incredibly lucky to have them continuing to take such an interest in the welfare of other students.
We've included some documents from Camden Learning about remote access to libraries, donating laptops/ipads, exercise and sexual health; I hope these are helpful.
We're still receiving good reports about the work students are doing at home and their well-being, however, if you have any concerns about schoolwork or welfare issues do please contact the appropriate Head of Year who will be happy to help. Write to Ms Newton at firstname.lastname@example.org if you don't have the HoY's email address and we will forward your message.
Wishing you and your family and friends good health,
