    Headteacher’s News

This week: Nineteen Cambridge and Oxford Offers, Kim O’Shea

    Nineteen Cambridge and Oxford Offers!
Camden School for Girls students have gained an astounding total of 19 offers of places at the Universities of Cambridge or Oxford. UCAS advisor Nicola Bayley said “These offers follow six months of really hard work on behalf of the students who prepared carefully for every stage of a demanding application process. I could not be more pleased for our successful students!” And our Head of Sixth Form Olivia Camillo was equally delighted, saying  “These offers are very well deserved and reflect the commitment and sheer hard work put in by each and every student who applied to Oxbridge. I would like to thank Nicola Bayely, our UCAS coordinator, who worked very closely with the students, supporting and advising them along each phase of the application, and also the many members of the teaching staff who contributed by working on entrance exam and interview preparation”.

As Headteacher, I am incredibly proud of these students and well aware of the hard work and dedication that they demonstrated to achieve these offers. They have shown total commitment to their studies, but have also found time to contribute to the school as a whole in a variety of ways. I wish them every success in gaining the grades they need in the summer for entry into the next stage of their education.

    Kim O’Shea
It was with great sadness that I learnt of the death last week of Kim O’Shea, who worked in our administrative team from 1998 until 2015. Kim was a wonderful colleague and helpful to parents, teachers and students alike. She knew the school very well and was always cheerful and smiling as she took calls on reception and assisted with the many day-to-day tasks that enable schools to function efficiently. She will be sadly missed, and our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.
