    Yoga & Mindfulness

    Hi all, my name's Mariam and I’m a yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher. I'm accredited by Yoga Alliance Australia and qualified to teach mindfulness meditation, too.

    I am offering online Meditation/Pranayama/Yin Yoga classes on Mondays at 12.30 p.m. and Fridays at 8 a.m. via Zoom. Classes are 45 minutes. I am also teaching a more dynamic Hatha Flow class on Mondays at 6 p.m. on Zoom. All classes are £5. First class free.

    Both pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation are useful in regulating body temperature, improving blood circulation, managing our emotions and dealing with stress and anxiety. They can boost our immune system, improve our memory and increase our creativity, too. With sustained practice, they can lead to a longer life expectancy. Yin yoga teaches us patience and perseverance and helps our body get ready to sit in a meditative posture for a sustained period of time while Hatha is about moving with the breath. We hold poses for a few breaths, focusing on alignment and developing our strength and flexibility.
